The premise: A new Caesar-like, but Aztec.
Why I yote it sunward: They chose colours that blend together too well with their surroundings when placing things or viewing overlays.
I'm not going to try and squint to differentiate a tiny tile of green from a tiny tile of slightly different green.

And also: TINY TEXT.
Sure, there's a UI scaling setting, and even a separate scaling setting for the small text, but kick STOP kick DOING kick TINY kick TEXT kick
Stop making people try to focus their vision down to a fucking needle point to try and read important information! I will kill you!
213/?

Oh look we're going to Mars, better make references to a certain dickhead we're sick of fuckin' hearing about, no matter how openly shitty he becomes.
214/?

Oh yeah, it's reboot continuity, not original. Lol, can you imagine?
215/?

throws lithium battery with tacks taped to it
217/?

If the devs don't care, why should I?
218/?

It's just a basic clicker with a skin on. It's not even balanced.
219/?

Starting to wonder if that genre of game is capable of being fun.
220/?

Open game, "WISHLIST NOW!", get past that to the main menu "WISHLIST", while playing the game "WISHLIST", try to quit the game "REMEMBER TO WISHLIST" dude, fuck off.
If I was going to before, you've annoyed me enough not to.
221/?

"This game contains flashing lights that people with epilepsy may find uncomfortable."

Q: Does the game need flashing lights that may induce seizures?

A: No, it doesn't.

Get rid of them, and go fuck yourself for trying to reduce it down to "may find uncomfortable".
222/?

Game released on PC, no mention of controller required, open it up, "Press Start". Turns out the enter key works, but once in the game there's no clue of what to do, no info on the controls, and I'm just not interested in pressing every individual key on the keyboard to try and decipher the mystery.

Deep Corp!
Take over as governor of a state that's been ransacked by your predecessor, get the mines running, the factories producing, and horses and carts transporting goods to towns so they can grow and will stop complaining, because if your rep hits 0%, you lose :(
It's a bit hand holdy at the start, but not enough to be a problem, and so much better than so many of the other demos I've tried recently. I would like it if mine shafts built a little faster.

Deep Corp on Steam

Dig mines, extract resources, and produce goods to restore order to the state. Become a successful businessman and an effective state governor in the late Wild West era!

I'd also like it if I could see how many miners I had assigned to each resource easily, like on a window displaying a list, rather than having to go look.
224/?

Oh, yeah, wishlisted.
I'm trying to include my action on these, be it pass, follow, wishlist, or buy.
224/?

I swear it's like some people just don't think about what they're doing.
And listen, right: It's okay for your map to be small. You don't need every dirt path to be wide enough to build a house on, especially when you've got a day timer ticking down.
229/?

sonofaSHIT I just wasted a load of time on something that turned out to be "vibe coded" without any disclosure.
231/?

Well of course I'm not going to get the puzzle right if the info isn't clear. >:|
232/?

Half-arsed? They didn't even half-cheek it.
233/?

aggressively apathetic about this one
234/?

That one just stressed me out
235/?

It's just not interesting enough for the time it takes.
236/?

Provide handy explanations for lots of stuff.
Some of the explanations refer to other stuff.
The other stuff is never explained.
The other stuff turns out to be quite important.
Guess I'll die.
238/?

Whoops, started considering shaving my head for fun.
239/?

Fuuuuck fake loading screens that take ages. I'm not here to stare at pointless moving lights like a lump, m8.
241/?

The game blatantly cheating sure isn't going to win me over.
243/?

Wow, someone sure liked Domekeeper.
244/?

This one went from "This could be interesting" straight to "It's not. It's really not"
245/?

A time waster that insists on being displayed over the top of everything else >:(
246/?

Shove your tiny text where no one can fuckin' read it.
Not that I can read it, 'cause it's tiny, and in a fancy font that makes it harder to read.
247/?

I should not have to open and close the options menu something like 8 times to try and adjust the music sound level because it doesn't apply any changes until after closing the options menu. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Machine Lord Zero

@MachineLordZero@mastodon.social

This next demo immediately tried to access the internet for some reason, went to an intro instead of letting me change the sound settings to not be loud, had no sound when I was in the sound settings menu, and when I finally got into the game, had even smaller text than most of the tiny text I've been complaining about.
Genuinely wanna smack someone over this.
249/?

What I might have to do to fucking read the tiny text.
249/?

What's lucky number 250 gonna be? Am I gonna wanna blow my fuckin' head off, or will it be something good for an apparently rare change?

starts eyeing the sandwich press again
250/?

Mmmm, yummy head sandwich....
251/?

Tiny text detected! Launching nuke!
253/?

Game: Find a thing!
Me: Can I examine things to see which is the one I need?
Game: No.
