the tax returns from decades ago, which would ultimately uncover the foundations of trump's empire and where the money came from, did not get released. most important of those would be the ones from his casino era. we got the least consequential years instead.

The reason why I always say Trump needs to be hit with "meaningful consequences" that reduce his ability to do crimes is because we have seen so many "paper consequences" that he can just walk off with no penalty. Like today. Nothing has happened to him to stop him from launching another Jan 6 in two weeks or so.
