I’m trying to find a hard copy of “Commodore 64 Whole Memory Guide” by Tim Arnot. I know… hard to find but if anyone has any leads, please pass them along
Spent some time with my kid trying to figure out the #Godot game studio. We're following the excellent tutorials by CodingWithRuss - he explains everything in detail, and it's easy to watch a bit and try it out before continuing. Right now we're doing a simple #2D #platform game. It's super easy, since a working engine is already there, free graphics and sound is available online, and you'll have a working prototype super fast! Everything can be tweaked and tuned in the Python-like scripting language.
Godot has a somewhat steep learning curve, so a tutorial is a great way to go. Once you grasp the basics, it offers a lot control. In other words, we've come a long way since Shoot 'Em Up Construction Kit on the #Commodore #C64.
Good times!
