Ah, I see #Tumblr (#Automattic) has decided to introduce a feature that no one wants/reduce the viability of a feature that's been baked in for over a decade.

Actual Tumblr users are less than pleased.

I feel like each owner of Tumblr fails to understand what its user base wants. I certainly can't see how the latest move will help them gain paying subscribers or more advertisers.

Certainly the change destroys social proof on the platform.
