The other thing that bothers me about AI:

Even when/if it can deliver a result that is decent, it’s not consistent.

Even when/if that happens the cost of AI is extremely high

Even when/if that happens the energy and water consumption is extremely high

Those issues haven’t disappeared

Let’s not forget the horrifying ethical choices tech companies have made:

Models trained on the data of artists and writers who were neither credited or paid

Models trained by people who are being severely underpaid in other countries

Models creating nonconsensual sexual imagery of real people
