I consider someone following 1.3k users without meaningful interaction as spam. Blocked and reported.
Pretty sure it's Jimmy/Ramon again. They're getting more creative with instances and usernames since their original names are automatic blocks for like the entire fediverse. Blocking now.
It turns out Jimmy is a surprisingly useful search term here, and I can agree he'd be an immediate killfile.
I think I need a little more first, though- getting an account on a new service and immediately following a bunch of people isn't really unique behaviour, and I'm pretty generous with follow backs if someone isn't obviously ... problematic, shall we say?
I'm going to watch this account with caution- if they're just an anime fan then whatever, but if you're right they'll get blocked like it was 1995 again.
They have a history of aggressively following anyone whose bio includes anything about equality, posting hateful replies, then deleting their account or having it deleted by mods as soon as they're blocked (usually after only a day or less). They've attempted to follow me at least 15 times, I think more, and others many more times. Sometimes they'll post screeds about how their other accounts have been unjustly deleted.
