I spent the day with my father today. He can still speak words, but he can't really have a conversation, read, or even sit up unsupported. So I just played him music all day long. Bach Cello suites, a little bit of Goldberg variations, and then Duke Ellington and Miles Davis.
It's amazing how much difference the music made. It just made everything feel OK.
