For several days, I have received informed delivery emails indicating that we are getting mail. It includes pictures of the mail. Some of it is really important. We have not received a single piece of mail since Wednesday. #USPS
Dear #USPS,
I just picked up my mail to find your new “Household Fusion sustainable delivery solution.”
Two catalogs were enclosed in PLASTIC WRAP, labeled with info that the PLASTIC is “recyclable where #4 PLASTIC is accepted.” The provided website tells me that in my area I have to take this PLASTIC to a special waste collection center, even though my city is compliant with California’s strict recycling laws.
Since your agency is facing a funding crisis (reported 3/5/26), could you please ixnay the PLASTIC, help the #ClimateCrisis, and just deliver my mail unwrapped?
(All profanity stemming from this ASININE decision has been deleted.)
Love,
Cyn

US Postal Service faces cash crisis by 2027, postmaster general warnsThe U.S. Postal Service is on track to run out of cash within a year unless Congress lets it borrow more. That's according to Postmaster General David Steiner, who tells the AP that running out of cash will mean the Postal Service will not be able to pay its workers or vendors, with potentially dire consequences for mail delivery. Steiner is scheduled to testify before Congress later this month. In an interview this week, he says a decades-old $15 billion borrowing cap blocks an easy stopgap solution. He also says allowing the Postal Service to set higher stamp prices would help.
I still have some of my flag stickers left, so if folks want to participate in my #StickersAndStamps project, now's a great time to sign up. If you'd like one, mention my Minnesota flag sticker, and I'll include it in the envelope.
My tiny effort to put some art and joy out there.
