On this day 81 years ago, 9 March 1945, the United States of America launched a firebombing attack on Tokyo, murdering around a 100,000 human beings in one night. Many burned to death while others were boiled alive while seeking shelter in water. Around 1,000,000 people were left homeless. This amounted to the most destructive and deadly bombing raid in all of human history.

In war, there are no victors, there is no humanity and there most certainly are no "good guys".
