On May Day, I commemorate the Bayview Massacre in Wisconsin.
In 1886, workers were organizing for an 8-hour workday.
On May 1, workers started to demonstrate in Chicago. By May 3th, over 14,000 workers were demonstrating near the Bay View Rolling Mill in Wisconsin.
The Republican Governor ordered 250 Guardsmen to kill any workers entering the mill.
On May 5th as the workers approached the mill, the guards killed 7 people including a 13-yo child.
