I am pretty sure I have my Dr. title in the AIRE registry (Italians living abroad), but even if not, WHY is he even on there?

I don’t even know what to say anymore. I am shocked.

So I have thoughts.

I just got a letter from the Italian embassy. I am half-Italian.

The address reads:

Bibiana Prinoth
verh. Dr. [lastname of my husband]
[rest of my address].

My questions:

a) WHY does my non-Italian husband have to be on the address?

b) WHY does HE get to have “Dr.” in front of his name and I don't? I have a Ph.D just as much as he does.

c) These are MY election documents. WTH. Why should HIS name be on them?

Are we living in the 15th century???
