Received wisdom and conventional wisdom is over hyped. Do not accept things blindly or just because that is what the crowd says. Others will not accept the views and what you are, make peace with that.
By appointing Mojtaba Khamenei as the successor to Ali Khamenei, #Iran has taken one step towards having a hereditary #Supreme leader. The #IslamicRepublic will now be on par with regimes like #NorthKorea, #Turkmenistan and others. In simpler words, #Iran has replaced one monarchical ruler, i.e. the Shah with the another, i.e. the ayatollah.
Mojtaba Khamenei is in the 50-60 age bracket, so expect at least 25-30 years of his rule.
