When I first got on the Internet, WWW had not yet been invented — my first experience of online forums was on #USENET. Forums blossomed through the 2000s, but were eclipsed by the walled gardens of #BigTech in the 2010s. I took refuge in the fediverse.
I just submitted the three games I will run at #UKGamesExpo
I'm doing my usual thing of running the first session on Friday finishing at midnight, then crashing in a cheap hotel in the centre of Birmingham for a few hours before getting back to the NEC for the second game at 09.00 the next morning. This way I feel like I'm a character in a live-action Noir game.
