#Venezuela came from behind to beat #Italy 4-2 in their semi final match today & will face the #US in the final match tomorrow.

The game airs at 5pm Pacific time on Fox (KTVU) in the Bay Area.

I assume that the political irony in the US & Venezuela facing off in this championship game will not be lost to anyone.

Nolan McLean, a rookie, is scheduled to start for the US. He was called up from the minors by the Met late last season & has a 5-1 record, 2.06 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and 57 strikeouts over 48 innings, which is his entire MLB record, to show for it.

I hope he's up to the task.
