#WritersCoffeeClub March 14: Do you think readers want new experiences in structure or narrative, or do they prefer what's familiar?
One day I'll pull it off, but not yet. Doesn't stop me trying though.
Probably my most ambitious attempt at new structure was my third book, which I had envisioned as a literary version of a Japanese puzzle visual novel, with twisting timelines and overlapping sequences, and it was a complete mess. I threw half of it out, and changed the identity of the villain.
