(he/him) student and teacher so am not on here much

I just pried off and reattached the blue pad from one partially-working Xbox 360 drum-kit to another (without internet tutorials), and now have one that doubles as a time machine as people bond over twenty-year-old+ music while playing a game of similar vintage with everything else paused.

My description of my latest experience with prep is so long I wouldn’t wish it on anyone to read it, which is also kind of the takeaway. Rhetorically speaking, is the right amount of GM prep in the eye of the beholder? Especially if you haven’t run a game in almost a year — is it possibly just shaking off rust? And is it also… fun? alwaysathief.com/home/prepping

Prepping to run Lasers & Feelings at GenCon — Always a thief

If you admit you did too much prep for an improv one-shot, does that almost look as bad as doing no prep?

Assuming they'll have me, what should I run at GenCon Games on Demand? Microscope? Lasers & Feelings? Honey Heist or Brindlewood Bay (have never run either of those alliterative darlings)? Long Time Listener, Last Time Caller (have played but not run)? #gencon #gamesondemand #rpg

Microscope 20%
Lasers & Feelings 60%
Honey Heist 20%
Long Time Listener, Last Time Caller 0%
