Whilst I am sure someone will yell at me about tackiness and the cult of celebrity, I've seen folk doing this and it's kind of a fun guessing game so here goes. Here's four well known people I've met, and one I haven't!

Which of the five would you guess I've never met?
It's a sad feature of the year 2026 that if I didn't contextualise "I'm heading out of the country on an ICE train" then I might panic readers who forget that I am in Europe and that just means an international/intercity express over here.
Anyway, I'm heading to Brussels for the first international conference of the Medieval Caucasus Network, of which I'm co-convenor. Staring at my talk slides and hoping they make sense, though I'm so tired I really don't know at this point.
