not a surprise really. Apple and Graphene OS would be the motherlode of surprises

I’m not totally convinced that this is the right decision. Motorola devices are neither cheap nor do they have outstanding quality. And I’m also not sure whether they’re at the same level as a Pixel when it comes to security.

But probably the best move considering that Google does their best to hinder custom ROMs. Unfortunately there is no pressure on Google to be more open. How was their slogan once upon a time? Don’t be evil…?

I pefer the quote "you die young enough to be a hero or live long enough to become the villain."

Ja, vor einiger Zeit "Don’t be evil…?".
Aber zu der Zeit auch schon nur ein Slogan ohne echte Werte dahinter.
Vielleicht als Wunschgedanke in den Anfängen bei Google...

I'm waiting overall until they share what this device will actually be. If it's just another touchscreen only device, with fingerprint & face scanners, that needs a case to avoid it breaking before I've even charged it the first time, then I'm continuing to avoid #graphene in favor of systems like #lineage & #postmarket that offer decent diversity of device compatibility.
