holy shit I'm still doing these
holy shit I've done 75 of them

Gloomy, dismal, and it feels like I have to wait to do anything.
76/?

Another one hiding an AI disclosure on the demo page with no word on the main page.
Fuck off, HotBunny.
77/?

Huh. I care about this one even less than most tower defense games.
78/?

Did you know there are Wallace & Gromit games on Steam?
Well, that one felt a bit like their cousins who'd had their brains kicked out. Gromace and Wallit. :(
79/?

....why do some Chinese devs release a steam page in English, with the preview images translated into English, if they don't support the English language?
80/?

I do not want to be building a magic factory in first person if it's going to be anywhere near this clunky to place and move things.
81/?

If you're going to have terrain your units can walk on right next to terrain they can't walk on, make them look different somehow.
Also, maps don't need to be huge! Especially in the first levels, you can get away with something much smaller, and it'll feel like you haven't got a ton of wasted space that the player has to wait for their units to traverse.
And... while a good cross between C&C and Starcraft might be cool, "Ranger Jim"? You couldn't be a little more creative?
82/?

Already got the big blue mineral crystals and the green gas, at least try having your special named guy not just be Jim Raynor with shitty sunglasses on

It's over a gig? That unnavigable turd was over a gig?
Christ on a pogo stick.
82/?

...Please remember to include all the files your demo needs to run.
Like the exe file.
83/?

I don't see the point of this one being made. It doesn't do anything new, and what it does do doesn't really matter.
84/?

There's... sort of satire? I guess? And the game sure looks like it's doing something.
Too bad the text is tiny regardless of what I set in the options, and some of the options need explanation, like "jargon filter" and "Annie chaos level".
shrugging intensifies
85/?

thousand yard stare of blank disappointment in humans
86/?

Drill Rift!
Be the dwarves who dig too greedily and too deep! Because if you don't, the humans will kill you.
Each day, send the drill down into the depths (or don't, it costs fuel to run) and try to dig up enough mithril to hit quota so you won't be executed, while dealing with problems, stress, Unfathomable Horrors, etc.
Could use a spell check ("inteligence" was a great moment for an error :D) and a couple of descriptions pop up for the wrong things.

Steamで35% OFF:Drill Rift

Build and manage a remote drill outpost in this unforgiving turn-based strategy game. Upgrade strategic machinery and level up your dwarfs. Balance resource management, strategic upgrades, and madness. If you drill too deeply, you may awaken what should not be awakened.

Points off for only having a wishlist button and not an exit button at the end of demo screen, though. >:(
87/?

I do not like when control schemes leave me going "If I can--- hey- dammit-- just let me--- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" even without me being yelled at.
That was stressful.
88/?

Trapped myself, tried reloading, found the autosave had triggered while I was trapped, there are no other save slots, and I don't care enough to restart the entire game from the beginning.
Screw it, next.
89/?

Tbh I just felt harried with this one. That's not an issue with Timberborn, if I want to play a fuzzy little critter based colony builder.
And it doesn't try to pronounce "damp" like "darrmp".
90/?

Yeah that's a match three game all right.
shrug
Maybe they tried to do something more with it, but the demo didn't show off anything interesting.
91/?

It might interest someone, but I'm sure not that someone.
92/?

Yes yes, very ominous, very scary, and then suddenly none of that matters and moving means either going slower than traffic when I want to be home, or zipping past the thing I'm trying to interact with.
94/?

....Look, don't release if you don't have an options menu. I like my eardrums where they are, not kissing each other in the middle of my skull.
Whatever the game might become in the future no longer matters, 'cause my potential interest was killed off in the first 10 seconds.
95/?

Why would someone put in a character whose primary purpose is to pop up frequently and comment on how fuck all is happening in the game? Why?
96/?

I need more than Numbers Go Up!
I thought "relaxing" meant something other than "grind my consciousness into mush via meaningless repetitive tasks"
97/?

Use an even less scientific version of the MBTI test to interrupt gameplay very few seconds, adding artificial difficulty by using the cursor to both aim at enemies and answer questions.
Starting to wonder if the trepanation people were simply ahead of their time.
98/?

I would like for desktop toys to be separated from games so I can block them all out more easily. >:(
99/?

Ooh, what's demo 100 gonna be? Worth mentioning? Actually desirable? Yet another gilded turd?

None of the above! It's just not noteworthy.
100/?

Did you test to see what your game is like to actually play?
"No"
...Did you test to see if your game actually works?
"You fucken know we didn't"
101/?

I feel like I put more effort into playing and providing feedback for this demo than the dev put into making their game.
If they don't care, why should anyone else?
102/?

Oh, it's one of those bottom of the screen hog games.
103/?

This next one ground to a halt pretty quick, which is kind of a problem seeing as grinding is about all it is.
Then it ate all the RAM and froze.
104/?

Did you like the first 20 seconds of the game? Yes? Good. Do it 48 million more times. That's it, that's the game.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
106/?

brain yelling "I don't care" increasingly louder during this one
107/?

Multiple settings menus. None for sound.
Why.
108/?

Moving wallpaper but with more effort >:(

Impressive* to see how far we've come since the 90s.

* Not in a good way
110/?

I'm gonna say it: Running should be togglable rather than requiring the constant holding of a button. It's 2025. Get your act the fuck together.
Also a 20 second music loop isn't going to relax me, it's going to slowly wind me up from the repetition.
111/?

Do I even have any demos left that I can be bothered with?
I thought I had one, but I checked the steamer page and whoops, they've added an AI disclosure.

I like that Kenshi's idea of a demo is to just give you the whole game, but a bunch of stuff is limited until you enter a key.
Unfortunately I only seemed to be able to play Copper Mining Simulator With Occasional Swarms Of Angry Nudists in the demo.

What really shits me with this one is the disclosure said it was their own art that they'd then modified with AI.
Why?! You'd passed the finishing line! You had a working game! Why would you then shit your pants?!

Finally, had a decent one.
Forage Wizard!
A clicker game in which you craft materials and become more wizardrous in order to try and break the curse of the Cursed Turnip, which is apparently wanted for a shitload of money.
There's some automation in the demo, and the tech tree hints at there being more in the full game.
Overall it feels pretty nice to play, though it could benefit from togglable sprint mode.

112/?
It's 2025 stop requiring me to hold shift to sprint.

Forage Wizard on Steam

An incremental clicker game where you craft your way to Alchemical Mastery. Progress through a branching skill tree and explore the forbidden woods. Collect resources and build machines of magic. Slay monsters, farm crops and automate your production to become the all-powerful Forage Wizard!

And then back to the duds.
A 30 second music loop is only going to piss me off, and if you're going to have a separate volume slider for something, check to make sure it actually affects that something.
