I saw southern auroras last night!!!! Rakiura! Holy cow that was AMAZING
(View from a bit south of Arthur's Pass, New Zealand)
Gosh do I hate satellite reflections. Used photograph in the old days of manually guiding a telescope for two hours or so. A satellite ruins a whole night.
Now, though you can photograph again soon in a minute or two, there are so many more shiny satellites to put up with.
No one ever asked us if we were willing to give up our sky heritage in exchange for the tech benefits.
