I've often said one day Mastodon and the greater fediverse will be like Linux. Your grandmother never heard of Linux but her smart TV runs on it. You will belong to a great micro-blogging site that just happens to run on Mastodon.
couldn't agree more. The sooner we stop trying to explain complicated tech to people and get on with the business of connecting them to their friends, their fandom, their family's photos, the faster this will all become normal.
