and started playing around with it. I'm entirely new to the CAD world... so some things seem a little confusing / tedious. But the exciting part is that I'm able to start making things happen, pretty much immediately! It's only following one of the step-by-step tutorials, but still.

Now if only I can get it going in Arch so I can move out of VM land. #freecad

I'm seeing that you're using v0.19. The current stable release is v0.21.1 (soon v0.21.2). The update is worth it

thank you! It was the easy version to get going.

One of 21.1's dependencies (python-cycler) has some problem on Arch at the moment. I'll probably wait for 21.2 to be released, then try again.
