I have a friend who has his own rules for fantasy baseball that he plays by himself, and has for decades. He liked just playing character generation in RPGs when we were teenagers.

back when I had my first extended mental health crisis, I plotted out an entire Traveller sector, and just imagined what was going on in it. Never played in it or used it for anything, but I have fond memories of just rolling the dice and letting the mind wander.
