Painting was interesting. I used splotches of paint to recreate the in-game texture.
And then clear red gloss paint for the blood splatter.

Thank you. Making something recognisable as the original is very hard. Nice to hear this works.

I think what makes it work are the rectangular surfaces and the color scheme. Both are very recognizable.

Tell me, did you make the color splashes with random brush strokes or by chipping? How about the red (blood) hue, some paintbrush or is it too tiny for that?

I used an old brush, or two, I had that some of the bristles had fallen out leaving irregular lengths and angles.
