Manitoba's Narcisse Snake Dens

Each spring near Narcisse, Manitoba, tens of thousands of red-sided garter snakes emerge from their winter hibernation in limestone caves, creating the largest snake gathering in the world. This wildlife spectacle features writhing 'mating balls' where dozens of males compete for each female. The snake dens are now a protected wildlife area. #Canada #Manitoba #Wildlife
